Hi, I’m Kelly Raines, aka Ms. Kelly. My first job in early childhood education was in a three-year-old classroom in 1986. Since then, I have worked with children from infancy to high school in many ways.
I love science and science fiction, my favorites shows are Dr. Who and Star Trek. I’m also loving the new Foundation series as Isaac Asimov is one of my favorite authors. I’m also a huge Muppet fan and love attending puppet shows.
I have three grown children and a granddaughter. I enjoy game nights with my family, reading, live theater, musicals, museums and spending time in nature. I am an animal lover and usually have at least two cats.

Hello! My name is Belinda Raines, I am Assistant Director and a teacher at Birdsall House. I have worked in the childcare field for 10 years. I was married in October 2021 to my wonderful husband, Colby. We have three dogs and one cat. I am an enthusiast of the arts, whether it be movies, books, museums, live theater, or live music. I enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors. I love Kansas City and have lived here for most of my life. Joining the Birdsall House family has given me an opportunity to help build a center that promotes play-based childcare, which I believe we are severely lacking in this area. Thank

Hello! My name is Tyesha Randle. I am 37 years old, I’m a mother of two handsome young men — Kaycee and Kendell — who bring me so much joy, and I’ve been working in childcare for more than 5 years. In that time, I’ve had the honor of working with infants who went on to become toddlers who have now gone on to become school age. Witnessing that process has given me a deep appreciation for child growth and development, and I look forward to growing and developing myself as an early childhood educator in the years to come. Apart from my professional endeavors, I enjoy shopping, interior design, traveling, and especially live music. Beverly Franklin Maze anyone?!

Hi there. I am Berton, the Birdsall House cat and protector of babies. My Birdsall House friends call me Burty Yo-Yo. I enjoy playing outside and sleeping. I dislike mylar balloons. Like…a lot. I tolerate grown-ups, but I love children.
